Today when I was checking in with the news, which I feel compelled to do once a day even tho it pains me deeply, I discovered that the supreme court (not capitalized on purpose) is due to hear another case about bumper stock weapons. These are guns tailor made for terrorists. You know, like the gunman in Maine who decided that going to a bowling alley with your family merited another mass shooting.
Yes, as a planet, we are currently on terror steroids. You can’t stop hate, or can you?
Why is it that weapons of mass destruction available to any lunatic American citizen are not considered weapons of massive terror? We are quick to judge terrorism that happens across the oceans as worthy of our indignity but, GOD FORBID, we take away anyone’s right to bear arms in this country. You know, the second amendment that was written before the United States existed, when we were battling England for our right to rule ourselves. That law, the one that was written before our nation breathed our first breath? Heavens, no. We need those weapons, still.
What must it be like when your child, or uncle or dear friend is mowed down with a weapon of mass destruction? Well it is fine! It is written into the constitution, the document written before the county existed.
There are more guns than people in the not so United States. There are those of us that find the notion absurd that everyday lunatics can buy a gun and within days commit atrocious acts of violence and then the other half, that say, do not take my guns, it is written into the constitution.
What a nation full of morons we have become!
