People on airplanes now take their shoes and socks off and display their manicured or not manicured toes for all to see. I looked away so I couldn’t comment accurately on whether the man one row up from me had manicured toes or not.

All kinds of people now take their shoes and socks off while traveling on an airplane. I know this because I asked the flight attendant. A person might be asked to put their shoes on if other passengers note a filthy smell. Other than that, there is nothing the flight attendants can do.
