Another wild goose chase

Why do I continue to trust Siri to help me find my way?

In Madrid, they are updating the subways, or at least that is my best guess. Entire streets are closed for blocks on end. I must have walked an extra two miles today. My sister just did 160 miles on the Camino in Portugal. If I don’t wise up I could walk that far in Madrid alone.

I knew I needed to get on the other side of the train station. It was off to my right but my iPhone directions told me to continue on my present course. When this happens I think, “Oh good! I will get to explore somewhere new.”

I got to explore more streets closed off for construction. I met two women who were similarly waiting for a museum to reopen. It was a momentary bonding experience, all three of us gritting our teeth at Siri.

Poor Siri, stuck in Cupertino.

Soon, I will meet my travel group. I can sit back and enjoy the ride.
