Balboa is a bit chilly.

The weather here is crisp and clean. It is perfect Fall weather. What I mean by chilly is that the people living here lack a certain kind of welcoming warmth. This is not to imply they are rude, exactly the opposite. It is that there is a distance that I can feel. I think it is because I have come here from Madrid.

Bilbao is a beautiful, easily navigated, art-rich, and compared to other parts of Spain, the weather in the summer is relatively mild all year.

Still, the elation I felt when I first arrived has faded. The vibrancy of Madrid is inescapable where the people are engaging and outgoing. Bilbao is much more reserved.
